The Proof Houses and other National Bodies are, in the sense of the ISO 2 guidelines, testing laboratories, inspection bodies, and accredited certification bodies, and implement C.I.P. decisions in accordance with the national laws in effect.
Their responsibilities include:
- meeting the criteria of an accredited testing laboratory (ISO 17025)
- meeting the criteria of an accredited inspection body
- meeting the criteria of an accredited certification body (EN 45011)
- implementing C.I.P.’s decrees and/or transpositions in the official texts of their country as well as taking into consideration the C.I.P.’s recommendations
- oversight of suppliers (producers, repairers, importers, distributors) in order to ensure the implementation of C.I.P. decisions and/or transposition into the official texts of their country
- if decreed, the supervision of clients (users) to ensure the implementation of C.I.P. decisions and/or transposition into the official texts of their country
- establishing a structure for the quality system, its assessment, and continuous improvement
- the realization of the quality system by a “Quality Manual” document, that will meet ISO 49 guidelines
